Easy to Work With: Acrylic is simple to cut, shape, and polish, allowing for precise customisation to meet your project’s requirements.

Applications

Signage and Displays: Ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, acrylic’s clarity and weather resistance make it the go-to choice for retail signs, displays, and exhibition stands.

DIY and Home Projects: Popular for furniture, shelving, picture frames, and decorative features thanks to its clean, modern aesthetic.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is acrylic (Perspex)?

Acrylic, commonly known as Perspex, is a lightweight, durable plastic sheet with excellent optical clarity. It’s a popular alternative to glass because it’s stronger, safer, and easier to fabricate.

Do you cut acrylic sheets to size?

Yes. All acrylic sheets can be cut to your exact dimensions. Simply enter your required sizes when ordering. For specialised jobs we can cut using CNC & Laser machines for accuracy.

What thicknesses do you offer?

We offer acrylic sheets in a range of thicknesses, typically from 1.5 mm up to 50 mm (availability may vary by colour). If you need something specific, contact us.

What colours and tints are available?

We stock:

  • Clear

  • Opal / milky

  • Black

  • White

  • Coloured acrylic (various solid colours)

  • Tinted acrylic (smoke, grey, bronze, etc.)

Colour availability depends on thickness. If you’re unsure, ask before ordering.

Is acrylic UV resistant?

Yes. Our acrylic sheets are UV stable and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. They won’t yellow or degrade under normal exposure.

Are the sheets supplied with protective film?

Yes. All sheets are supplied with protective film on both sides to prevent scratching during transport and handling. Remove the film after installation.

How accurate are the cut sizes?

We cut to CNC tolerances (±1 mm). Acrylic can expand slightly with temperature, so allow clearance if your application requires a tight fit.

Can you drill holes or machine shapes?

Yes. We can:

  • Drill holes

  • Cut internal shapes

  • CNC machine complex profiles

  • Acrylic Letters

If your job requires machining beyond straight cuts, contact us for a custom quote.

Are cut edges polished?

Standard cut sheets are supplied with clean, saw-cut or CNC-cut edges, not polished. Polished edges are available on request at additional cost.

Can acrylic be used instead of glass?

Yes. Acrylic is:

  • Around 50% lighter than glass

  • Up to 10× stronger

  • Safer if broken

However, it scratches more easily than glass, so it’s not suitable for every application.

Is acrylic scratch resistant?

Acrylic is not scratch proof. It’s more scratch-resistant than many plastics but softer than glass. Avoid abrasive cleaners and use a soft cloth.
