Custom Dividers for Ute Trays and Canopies

Whether you're separating tools from stock, splitting a tray between two trades, or keeping loose gear from sliding around under the canopy, a custom-cut divider panel is a simple fix that a generic bunk-shop bracket can't match.

We cut HDPE, polypropylene and UHMWPE divider panels to your tray or canopy dimensions, with cut-outs for rails, tie-down points and cable runs where needed.

Why HDPE Suits Ute Divider Panels

HDPE is the standard material for ute dividers. It's tough, fully weatherproof, resists impact from tools and equipment banging around, and won't rot, swell or delaminate the way plywood does over time in an open tray or damp canopy.

Polypropylene is a lighter-weight, more flexible alternative where a hinged or removable divider is preferred, while UHMWPE suits dividers in the heaviest-duty tool and equipment trays where abrasion resistance matters most.

All three machine cleanly for bolt holes, cut-outs and slots, and can be left raw or painted/labelled depending on your fitout preference.

Sizing Dividers to Your Tray and Fitout

Tell us your tray or canopy internal dimensions, where you want the divider positioned, and any features it needs to clear (tie-down rails, wheel arches, drawer runners or cable conduit) and we'll cut a panel to fit.

We can also supply matching panels for multiple vehicles in a fleet, cut to a single template once the first fitout is confirmed.

Common Divider Configurations

Common configurations include a single full-height divider splitting the tray in half, a lower divider separating a tool area from load space, and slotted dividers that create multiple bays for pipe, timber or equipment storage.

For canopy fitouts, dividers are often combined with drawer systems or shelving, with the panel cut to sit flush against the canopy's internal framing.

Cutting and Fixing Your Divider Panels

Panels are cut on our CNC router with clean, accurate edges, bolt holes and any slots or cut-outs machined in one pass. Fixing is typically via bolts, brackets or a track system depending on whether you want the divider removable.

Send us a sketch with key dimensions or your tray/canopy make and model and we'll confirm sizing before cutting.

Ute Dividers FAQ

What material is best for a ute tray divider?
HDPE is the standard choice, tough, fully weatherproof and resistant to impact, without the rot or swelling issues that affect plywood dividers.
Can dividers be made removable?
Yes, we can fit dividers with a bolt or bracket system so they can be removed or repositioned rather than permanently fixed.
Can you cut cable or rail cut-outs into the panel?
Yes, provide the locations and dimensions of any rails, tie-down points or cable runs and we'll machine the cut-outs into the panel.
Do you supply matching dividers for a fleet of utes?
Yes, once we've confirmed the template from your first vehicle, we can cut matching panels for the rest of the fleet.
How do I know what size divider I need?
Send us the internal dimensions of your tray or canopy along with a sketch of where the divider should sit, and we'll confirm the cut size before proceeding.
