Custom plastic battery boxes, made to size

Five-panel plastic boxes made from PVC or HDPE sheet, cut on our CNC router and welded inside and out. Enter the size you need and see the price as you go.

Plain containment boxes, not powered battery boxes. These are made-to-size PVC, HDPE or polypropylene (PP) containment boxes. They are not 12 V camping or powered battery boxes: no terminals, sockets, isolators, fuses or wiring. The calculator lists what you can order online; anything else is a quote.

What you get

  • Five CNC-cut panels, a base and four walls, welded together inside and outside.
  • The plastic and thickness you choose from what the calculator lists.
  • An optional lay-on lid in the same sheet and thickness, with a skirt welded on below the lid panel. Its opening is a little bigger than the outside of the box, so it drops on and lifts off.

What it isn't

  • Not a 12 V, camping or powered battery box. No terminals, sockets, isolators, fuses or wiring.
  • No cut-outs, vents, handles or dividers online. Request a quote for those.
  • The lid isn't latched, sealed or lockable. It rests on the walls.
  • No compliance claim. If your installation has to meet a standard, have your installer specify the box.

Not rated for lifting when full. Move the box empty and load it where it will sit. The walls and welds aren't designed to carry the weight of batteries or liquid while the box is being lifted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a 12 V or camping battery box?

No. It's a plain plastic containment box made to your size. It has no terminals, sockets, isolators, fuses, gauges or wiring, and we don't fit any.

Does it meet a battery installation standard?

We don't make any compliance claim for these boxes. If your installation has to meet a standard, ask your installer or engineer to specify the box, then send us their drawing and we'll quote to it.

Should I enter inside or outside sizes?

Inside sizes are the default: the space between the walls, and from the floor of the box up to the rim. Where the calculator offers External, choose it when the box has to fit a gap. An outside height never includes the lid.

How does the lid fit?

It lays on top of the walls. A skirt welded under the lid panel hangs down outside the walls with a small clearance all round, so the lid drops on and lifts off. It isn't sealed or watertight, and it doesn't latch or lock.

Can you add cable holes, vents, handles or dividers?

Yes, by quote. Use Request a quote and your current size, sheet and lid go with the request, so you only need to describe what to add.

Which material should I choose?

PVC is the usual choice: rigid and easy to weld. HDPE is tougher if the box will take knocks. Polypropylene (PP) is lighter and handles more heat. Chemical resistance depends on the chemical, so check the sheet against what the box will hold; we can send data sheets.

Can I lift the box when it's full?

No. Move it empty and fill it where it will sit. The boxes aren't rated for lifting when full and have no handles.
