Hygienic Kennel Dividers That Last

Animal shelters, council pounds, boarding kennels, and RSPCA facilities need pen dividers that survive daily pressure washing, chemical disinfection, and the general wear of housing animals. Timber rots, metal rusts, and painted surfaces chip and harbour bacteria. PVC solves all three problems: it is completely moisture-proof, chemically resistant to kennel disinfectants, and has a smooth non-porous surface that wipes clean in seconds.

We cut rigid PVC panels to your exact kennel dimensions and can add ventilation slots, drainage holes, or mounting cutouts as needed. Panels slot together with simple brackets or drop into existing channel frames, making them easy to remove for deep cleaning or kennel reconfiguration.

Why PVC for Kennel Environments

Council pounds and shelters process high volumes of animals with strict biosecurity requirements between occupants. PVC panels can be pressure-washed and disinfected between each animal without degrading. Unlike timber or MDF, PVC absorbs zero moisture, so there is no swelling, warping, or mould growth even in constantly wet kennel environments.

Grey PVC is the most popular colour for shelter environments because it hides scuff marks, staining, and everyday wear far better than white. We stock 4.5mm and 6mm rigid PVC in light grey and Swiss grey, both suitable for kennel dividers depending on panel span and required rigidity.

Modular Panel Systems

We can supply panels as flat cut-to-size sheets for your team to install, or as fully fabricated modular dividers with bent edges, pre-drilled mounting holes, and reinforced top rails. For large fitouts (new shelter builds, kennel block refurbishments), we supply panels in bulk and can work from your floor plan to optimise sheet usage and minimise waste.

Our fabrication services include CNC routing, drilling patterns for ventilation, hot-line bending for L-shaped or U-shaped sections, and edge finishing.

Common Specifications

Most kennel divider projects use 4.5mm or 6mm rigid PVC in grey. Standard panel heights are 900mm to 1200mm for dog kennels, 600mm to 900mm for cat enclosures. We cut to any width to match your kennel bays. Panels can be supplied with or without ventilation slots, and with pre-drilled holes to suit your bracket or channel system.

Animal Shelter Kennel Dividers & Pound Panels FAQ

What thickness PVC is best for kennel dividers?
4.5mm is sufficient for most kennel dividers up to about 800mm wide. For wider spans or high-impact environments (large dog kennels), 6mm provides extra rigidity.
Can you add ventilation holes to the panels?
Yes. We can CNC-rout ventilation slot patterns, drill circular holes, or cut any custom pattern you need for airflow.
How do the panels attach to kennel frames?
Panels can be drilled to suit your existing bracket or channel system. We can also supply with bent edges that slot into U-channel extrusions for a tool-free fit.
Are PVC panels safe around animals?
Yes. Rigid PVC is non-toxic, has no sharp edges when properly finished, and does not splinter like timber. It is widely used in veterinary and animal housing applications.
