Purpose-Built Plastic for Animal Care Environments

Veterinary clinics, wildlife hospitals, and animal rehabilitation centres need surfaces and enclosures that withstand daily cleaning, chemical disinfectants, and constant moisture exposure. PVC is the go-to material for this environment -- it's chemically resistant, completely moisture-proof, easy to wipe down, and fabricates cleanly with hot-line bending and solvent welding.

We custom-fabricate PVC components to your exact dimensions, from dripbox trays that sit under animal enclosures to full cage panels and splash guards. Grey PVC is the most popular colour for animal care applications because it hides marks and staining better than white or clear.

Dripbox Trays

Dripbox trays catch waste and fluids beneath animal enclosures, cages, and roosting areas. We bend them from a single flat sheet of 4.5mm PVC with reinforced underlip edges for rigidity. Corners are solvent-cemented to create a watertight seal. Each tray is cut to your exact enclosure dimensions, no off-the-shelf compromises.

Typical specs: 30mm wall height, 30mm reinforced underlip (cut at 40mm for folding allowance), 4.5mm rigid PVC in light grey. We can accommodate any width and depth to match your cage or enclosure footprint.

Cage Panels & Enclosure Walls

Rigid PVC panels make excellent cage walls, dividers, and enclosure linings. They won't absorb moisture or harbour bacteria the way timber does. Panels can be cut to size, drilled for ventilation, and bent to form L-shaped or U-shaped sections that slot together without exposed fasteners.

For larger enclosures, flight aviaries, bat houses, reptile habitats, we can supply full-sheet PVC panels up to 2440 x 1220mm (or 3000 x 1500mm in grey) and cut them to your layout. Our fabrication services include CNC routing, drilling, bending, and assembly.

Splash Guards & Wet Area Linings

Treatment rooms, wash stations, and feeding areas benefit from PVC splash guards mounted behind sinks and along walls. They protect surfaces from water damage and are far easier to remove and clean than tiled or painted alternatives. We supply flat panels or bent-edge splash guards with a 20-50mm return edge for a finished look.

Why 4.5mm PVC Grey?

We recommend 4.5mm rigid PVC in light grey or Swiss grey for most animal care applications:

Chemical resistant, stands up to veterinary disinfectants, bleach solutions, and enzymatic cleaners without degrading. Moisture-proof, zero water absorption means no swelling, warping, or mould growth. Easy to clean, smooth surface wipes down in seconds with a cloth or pressure washer. Hides marks, grey tones mask scratches, staining, and everyday wear far better than white or clear. Fabrication-friendly, 4.5mm PVC bends cleanly on a hot-line bender and solvent-cements to form strong, watertight joints.

Veterinary Clinics & Wildlife Rehabilitation Centres FAQ

What material is best for animal enclosure trays?
4.5mm rigid PVC in grey is the most popular choice. It's chemically resistant, moisture-proof, easy to clean, and the grey colour hides marks and staining from daily use.
Can you make trays to custom dimensions?
Yes, every tray is cut and bent to your exact measurements. We just need the outer width, depth, wall height, and whether you need an underlip edge.
How are the tray corners sealed?
Corners are solvent-cemented (chemically welded) to form a watertight bond. This is stronger than mechanical fasteners and leaves no gaps where waste can accumulate.
What's the lead time for custom PVC trays?
Typically 3-5 business days from order confirmation, depending on quantity and complexity. Rush jobs can often be accommodated, ask when you enquire.
Do you ship to regional and remote areas?
Yes, we ship Australia-wide including regional and remote locations. Freight is quoted based on your delivery postcode.
