Acrylic Blanks Cut to Size

Acrylic blanks are the starting point for laser-engraved keyrings, cake toppers, wedding signs, place cards, earrings and small business products. Makers usually need two things: sheets cut to fit their laser bed, and a steady supply of the same colours and thicknesses. Perspex Online cuts cast acrylic sheet to any size, from bed-sized sheets for a desktop diode or CO2 laser to finished shapes such as rounds, rectangles and keyring tags with the hole already cut.

Cast vs Extruded Acrylic for Lasers

Cast acrylic is the better choice for most laser work. It engraves to a frosty white mark, cuts with a flame-polished edge and has fewer internal stresses, so it is less likely to crack around small holes. Extruded acrylic cuts cleanly too but engraves with a clear rather than white mark. If you are not sure which you have, cast is what we supply as standard.

Colours, Mirrors and Finishes

Clear 3mm is the workhorse for signs and keyrings. Mirror acrylic in gold, silver and rose gold is the go-to for cake toppers and wedding names. Soft colours from Perspex Sweet Pastels , bright fluorescents and shimmering pearlescents suit earrings and gift tags. Frosted acrylic gives an etched-glass look without any engraving at all.

Thickness Guide

  • 2mm: earrings, ornaments and light layered pieces.
  • 3mm: keyrings, cake toppers, place cards and most signs.
  • 5 to 6mm: freestanding signs, awards and photo blocks.
  • 10mm and up: chunky desk signs and blocks with polished edges.

Pre-Cut Shapes and Bulk Orders

If you would rather skip the cutting, our laser cutting service can cut blanks to your own file, so you receive ready-to-engrave keyrings, coasters or topper outlines with the protective film still on. Send a DXF, SVG or PDF and tell us the quantity. Repeat orders are kept on file, so restocking for markets or an online shop is quick.
