Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes can I order online?
Rectangular and square tanks up to 4,000 mm long, 2,500 mm wide and 1,600 mm deep, and up to 10,000 L. Anything bigger, round, sloped, tapered or with extras like top boxes, we quote from your drawing.
How thick are the walls?
We choose the wall from how deep the tank is: 6 mm up to 400 mm deep, then 10, 12, 15, 20 and 25 mm as it gets deeper. The price already includes it.
What are baffles and why does my tank have them?
Baffles are internal panels welded across the tank. They stiffen the long walls so they don't bulge when the tank is full. We work out how many your size needs and include them in the price.
Which plastic should I choose?
HDPE is tough and suits water, rural and food-grade storage. Polypropylene is stiffer and handles hotter liquids. PVC is rigid and suits many chemicals. If you're storing a chemical, tell us what it is in the quote form and we'll check.
Where do the fittings go?
You choose the side and measure from the left edge of that side (looking at it from outside) and up from the base, to the centre of the hole. Holes are kept clear of the corners and of the baffle welds, and the wall view shows where those are.
What is the inspection lid?
A screw-down lid ring kit set into a welded top, so you can get inside to check or clean the tank. Choose an open top if you don't need a top panel.
How is it delivered?
Choose delivery or pickup in your cart. Delivery is quoted there for your whole order. If we can't quote freight for your tank online, you can still check out and we'll quote the freight by hand before it ships.
Is it rated for a particular use?
We don't make a rating or compliance claim for these tanks. If yours has to meet a standard, send us the specification or drawing and we'll quote to it.
