Y12, Y15, and Y25 prismatic panels are translucent plastic sheets designed to diffuse and control light. Y12, Y15, and Y25 prismatic panels are supplied in standard sheet sizes and 3mm and 4.4mm thicknesses suited to glazing and ceiling systems. Availability varies by pattern and material. Panels can often be cut to size to suit skylight frames, ceiling grids, or custom installations.

Prismatic panels are typically installed into aluminium frames, ceiling grid systems, or skylight assemblies. They should be properly supported to prevent sagging and allow for thermal expansion. Installation methods depend on sheet size, thickness, and whether the application is horizontal or vertical.

Suitability for outdoor use depends on the material and UV resistance. UV-stabilised acrylic or polycarbonate panels are commonly used in skylights and external glazing. Non-UV-stabilised panels may yellow or degrade over time when exposed to direct sunlight.

Prismatic panels are durable under normal lighting and glazing conditions. They resist moisture and corrosion and maintain light diffusion performance over time. Impact resistance and lifespan vary depending on material choice, thickness, and exposure to UV, heat, and weather conditions.
